Newcastle

The adventure began, on day one with a trip north from Kent, to an overnight stay at a Travelodge in Newcastle. 320 miles on day one seemed enough, so the stay was welcome.

The hotel was functional and clean and the staff overworked. It gave us a bed for the night and fed us dinner and breakfast, so can't really complain - well, you can, but nobody listens!
